Calder Kids 14th September 2009

"Calder Kids" Adventure Playground is an organisation in Liverpool that provides a safe environment
for children aged from 5 to 19 years who have a variety of special needs, physical, social and emotional
etc.
“Calder Kids” has been established for 30 years. Whilst Liverpool City Council provides only 4
members of staff, great reliance is placed on voluntary workers and private donations. To elaborate on
the wonderful benefit to the children that this group supplies would take longer than this space allows.
Visitors are always welcome to see for themselves.
Following the well renowned annual “Mark Weekend” held this year in February in Llangollen, the
organisers, W.Bro's Colin Svenson and Tommy McLaughlin with the proceeds arranged the purchase
of an assortment of much needed electronic equipment in the name of West Lancs Mark Charities.
On Monday 14th. September, the R.W. Provincial Grand Master, Bro Peter Connolly, accompanied by a
group of local Mark Masons and their wives officially opened the games room now equipped with an
assortment of the previously mentioned electronic games consol's, computer a large screen DVD player
